Fairbanks man arrested after Troopers find drugs, cash in apartment

FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) -

A Fairbanks man was arrested after police found heroin and methamphetamine in an apartment. According to charging documents, Derrick Lanell Hall, 35, was being investigated by the Fairbanks Statewide Drug Enforcement Unit.

According to the document troopers obtained a search warrant for Hall’s residence and found around 172 grams of heroin, around 101 grams of methamphetamine, around $15,000 in cash, and a 9mm pistol. They also found other items associated with drug dealing such as scales, baggies, a drug ledger and cell phones.

The court document says that Hall told investigators he gets drugs from people in Anchorage.

Hall was charged with 2 counts of misconduct involving a controlled substance in the second degree and one count of weapons misconduct in the second degree.

According to the charging documents he had previously been charged with other drug related offences.
