FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) - Frank Minano Jr of Nenana was reported missing to the Alaska State Troopers on August 17th, 2020. Search efforts began in the evening on the 17th with K9 units, aircraft, as well as searchers on the ground.

His last known location is on or near Standard Creek Road off of the Old Nenana Highway on August 17th, 2020. It is known that he took shelter in a cabin in that area Monday evening. The search is still on-going in the Standard Creek Area and there have been a couple reported sightings in the area of the Ester Transfer Site as well as a sighting on the Parks Highway just south of Old Nenana Highway.

He was last seen wearing a black and white flannel shirt, black pants, gray and white tennis shoes, and a black ball cap that has the word ‘Alaska’ on it. He is approximately 5′10″, weighing between 140-150lbs.

Alaska State Trooper Patrick Hargis said this about the current situation on the ground, “At the moment we don’t need people to go out and flood the area to look for him, we have plenty of people in the area. We just ask that people be cognizant and aware that this person is missing and that we are looking for them and to keep an eye out... If they see someone that matches his description to call the troopers at 451-5100.”
