FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) - The Fairbanks Police Department announced Monday that Police Chief Nancy Reeder has resigned from her current position effective Monday August 24th, 2020, citing personal reasons. Chief Reeder has been serving with the department since June of 2019.

Acting Deputy Chief Rick Sweet has temporarily been appointed Acting Chief, Sweet has been with FPD since 2012.

FPD would like to thank Nancy for her service in Law Enforcement and wish her well in all of her future endeavors.
