FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) - The North Pole Patriots football program dominated on offense and defense in their 34-0 victory over the Eielson Ravens for the third annual Blood Bowl. Nic Clark led the Patriots with three rushing touchdowns.

“The offense it was amazing it felt really good. I mean this is what I expected,” said North Pole Quarterback Devon Clark.

The Patriots were playing with new pieces in skill positions and their debuts were full of highlights as they avenged their 2019 Blood Bowl loss to Eielson. Devon Clark threw a couple of touchdowns as the offense showed no rust from the challenging off-season. The season was almost cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Surreal, getting to play varsity ball in Alaska, getting to play football at all.” said North Pole’s Nic Clark.

Eielson had a tough outing in their first game under Interim Head Coach Jacob Borkovec, as the offense struggled with over 10 fumbles on the day. The Ravens had some bright spots on offense when they ran with Will McManus and Jayden Bitton.

This week’s matches are to be determined.
