FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) - A man received life threatening injuries after an attack by another man on Chena Ridge Road Wednesday night.

Wednesday night at approximately 6:50 p.m., Alaska State Troopers received a report of a stabbing. AST and emergency medical services responded to the area and located 59 year old William Isberg who had sustained injuries. Witnesses on scene observed 27 year old Ronald Crampton fleeing the area down the ridge.

Nearby neighbors notified AST of a suspicious male running past their house and hiding in the woods. Crampton was found and detained by troopers. He was interviewed and remanded to Fairbanks Correction Center on a charge of Attempted Murder. Isberg was transported to Fairbanks Memorial Hospital for treatment.
