Motor Sports Wrap Up: Final Standings for the 2020 Mitchell Raceway Season

FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) -

After much uncertainty earlier in the year, the Greater Fairbanks Racing Association was able to host a complete and successful season at the Mitchell Raceway. A summer full of races concluded this weekend with the final events at the “Most Northern Dirt Track in the World”.

Mini Modified Championship

1. River May - 441 points

2. Wayne Shaw - 427 points

3. Jerry Parsons - 256 points

Dollar Stock Championship

1. Robert Newhard - 454 points

2. Braden Anders - 405 points

3. Jason Melson - 395 points

4. Rodney May - 268 points

5. James Dubs - 209 points

Sportsman Championship

1. Braden Anders - 436 points

2. Jake Somers - 430 points

3. Dave Somers - 361 points

4. Phil Wood - 264 points

Modified Championship

1. Marty Flora - 577 points

2. Monte Pearson - 490 points

3. Brent Means - 346 points

4. Kirk Krause - 267 points

5. Chris Stickland - 231 points

Sprint Car Championship

1. Garrett Hill - 379 points

2. Randi Bailey - 357 points

“It has been a great season,” said Greater Fairbanks Racing Association President Monte Pearson. “More and more cars keep showing up, which is excellent. Fairbanks is awesome. They’ve embraced us hugely this year and we have been consistently getting 300 to 500 fans every Friday night coming out and it is amazing.”
