PET OF THE WEEK: Meet Patches, a 3 year old domesticated Bunny
FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) -Hopping into the spotlight this week is a bunny with a patchwork look and a name to match, and he’s looking for a home!
Here’s what Sarah Harman, an animal tender with Fairbanks North Star Borough Animal Shelter, had to say:
“This week we have Patches. Patches is a 3 year old domestic bunny. He has been with us a few times now, so we’re really hoping to find his forever home this time around.
He’s a very sweet bunny. He would prefer to be the only bunny in the home though, as he does not always get along with other bunny friends. He is very well socialized with people. It may take him a minute to calm down when you first pick him up, but with green treats he warms up to you pretty quickly.
He is said to be litter box trained and keeps his space very neat and clean. Bunnies need a diet full of vitamin C and lots of things to chew on to keep their teeth nice and short and healthy. He would also like a nice big open space in which he could play from time to time.
Patches is a real sweet gentleman who’s looking for a nice, quiet forever home. If Patches isn’t the one for you, we have lots of dogs and cats and other animals who are looking for a home as well -- so come on down and see if you can’t find yourself a new friend!”
