FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) - Two students and two athletic coaches have tested positive for COVID-19 at at the Catholic Schools of Fairbanks (CSF).

According to a statement via email, the two students, who were unrelated and asymptomatic notified CSF over the weekend that they tested positive. The families of the students who were in close contact with the positive cases were notified immediately and moved to online learning. All other class cohorts will continue in-person school.

Two coaches also previously tested positive, but had no close contacts while at school. Therefore, CSF did not require quarantine for any staff and students as a result of the coaches testing positive.

The statement went on to say that State Public Health and State Epidemiology are supportive of CSF’s plans thus far.
