FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) - The Lathrop Malemutes football program dominated the North Pole Patriots the 2020 Mayors' Bowl behind a stingy defense and a potent passing attack.

On September 25, the purple and gold took off thanks to Jarren Littell’s four passing touchdowns in their 43-6 victory. Dean Silva grabbed three touchdowns while Eddie Coleman scored the other. This was Lathrop’s first game since late August when they defeated the West Valley Wolfpack.

"We feel great. We’ve had five weeks before since our last game it feels good to be out here playing and it just so happen that we got the win tonight so.” said Lathrop senior Keegan Laughlin.

North Pole’s lone touchdown came off an 80-yard bubble screen as Devon Clark passed it to Alex Garcia. North Pole had a tough time against Lathrop’s defense that put pressure on the line on numerous occasions.

Lathrop will now take on the West Valley Wolfpack on October 2 while North Pole has no opponents lined-up for this week.
