FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) - The True North church off Airport Way is temporarily shut down due to several positive cases of COVID-19.

According to Pastor Mark Zweifel, a number of True North Staff and Serve Team members have tested positive for the virus, prompting a suspension of all in-church building activities, a deep cleaning of the church itself, a mandate that all True North staff members undergo COVID-19 testing, and that they have temperature checks before serving.

The True North Church will reopen to regular operation on Sunday, October 4th.

It is unclear how many people tested positive. We reached out for more information from the church, but no one was available for comment.
