Tanana Chiefs Conference holds elections at annual board meeting
FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) - The Tanana Chiefs Conference (TCC) held elections at its annual board meeting on October 13th.
The meeting, originally scheduled to be held in March, was postponed due to COVID-19 concerns. Because of these concerns, only delegates, candidates and TCC staff were allowed to attend the event in person.
The event was livestreamed for the public, and some delegates participated remotely as well.
The event saw the election of Pollack B. Simon, Jr., from Allakaket, to the position of TCC Chief/Chairman, succeeding current Chief Victor Joseph.
Simon will serve in his position from 2020 to 2023.
