FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) - HELLO EVERYONE, WE STARTED OFF THE DAY WITH SUNSHINE, BUT SOON THE COLDER AIR MOVED IN AND CREATED THE OVERCAST AND FOG THIS AFTERNOON.

TODAY’S PHOTO IS ANOTHER BEAUTIFUL SUNSET DOWN IN DELTA JUNCTION.

TODAY’S HIGH HAS BEEN 23 WITH THE OVERNIGHT LOW DROPPING DOWN TO 7 DEGREES.

THE RECORD HIGH WAS 51 IN 2013, AND THE RECORD LOW DROPPED DOWN TO 17 BELOW IN 1953.

ACROSS THE STATE, COLD BAY IS THE WARMEST WITH 48, AND THE FORT YUKON CHECKS IN WITH 21 FOR COLDEST.

THE SATELLITE AND RADAR PICTURE SHOWS SHOWERS OVE THE SOUTHEAST WITH THE REST OF THE STATE FAIRLY CLEAR EXCEPT FOR CLOUDS IN THE INTERIOR.

IN THE LOWER 48, SATELLITE PICTURES SHOW SKIES CLEAR ALL OVER THE WEST. THE MOST INTENSE WEATHER IS OVER THE CENTRAL AND SOUTHERN SECTIONS AND ALONG THE GULF COAST IN RESPONSE TO HURRICANE ZETA WITH WINDS TO 80 MILES PER HOUR AS IT RACES OFF TO TH NORTHEAST.

TEMPERATURES ACROSS THE COUNTRY ARE COOL ONCE AGAIN IN THE CENTRAL SECTIONS DOWN TO THE SOUTHERN AREAS OF TEXAS, WHILE THE REST OF THE COUNTRY HAS MILD WEATHER.

BACK IN ALASKA TOMORROW, THE NORTH SLOPE WILL SEE PERIODS OF NAOR WHILE NOME WILL BE CLOUDY.

SUNSHINE SHOULD COVER THE INTERIOR AS MUCH COOLER TEMPERATURES MOVE IN FROM THE NORTHWEST. OVER THE SOUTHEAST, RAIN WILL FALL IN JUNEAU WHILE KETCHIKAN WILL BE PARTLY CLOUDY.

TOMORROW WILL BE PARTLY CLOUDY AT BETHEL, WITH RAIN IN COLD BAY, AND SUNNY SKIES FOR KODIAK.

AND THE SOUTHCENTRAL REGION WILL SEE SUNNY SKIES EVERYWHERE.

TONIGHT WE WILL HAVE CLOUDY SKIES WITH COLD TEMPERATURES. TOMORROW SHOULD BE CLOUDY BUT COOLER AND THIS WILL CONTINUE INTO TOMORROW NIGHT.

THE EXTENDED FORECAST WILL SEE CLOUDY SKIES CONTINUE WITH A CHANCE OF A LITTLE SNOW ON HALLOWEEN, BUT TEMPERATURES WILL CONTINUE TO DROP THROUGH THE WEEKEND.
