FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) - The West Valley Wolfpack volleyball played their second half of a back-to-back taking on the Hutchison Hawks Wednesday. West Valley responded to getting swept Tuesday with a sweep of their own against the Hawks (25-13, 25-16, 25-12).

West Valley’s Risa Heinrichs was dominant during the match with four kills in the first set along with five aces in the third set. The Wolfpack as a program had 19 aces all together. Erin Pomeroy ended the night with 12 assists.

Hutch had a tough time getting their offense going as they averaged only around 14 points between the three sets.

West Valley’s next match is against their in-town rivals against the Lathrop Malemutes on November 5 while Hutch will now prepare for the Aurora Conference regionals which are set for November 5 in Valdez.
