FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) - Kylie -- the lovable Rottweiler with a heart of gold.

Here’s what Kimberly Imbert, Animal Shelter Operations Supervisor with Fairbanks North Star Borough Animal Shelter, had to say about our Pet of the Week:

“Kylie is a six year old Rottweiler mix. She was originally brought to the shelter because with her age and discomfort, she wasn’t doing so well with the children in the home. She was adopted briefly and then returned because she wasn’t getting along with the other dog in the home over certain toys.

Kylie is a really great dog, she is well housebroken, she knows a lot of commands, and she is really personable. She just doesn’t want to live in a home with children, other dogs, or cats. She walks really well on a leash and she can do really well around other dogs, she just doesn’t want to live with them. Kylie has a really interesting face, but she has a really wonderful personality that shines through and she makes up for her unconventional looks with an awesome personality.

She walks great on a leash so she’ll be a great walking buddy for someone, she just really wants an adult only home where she can be the only dog in the home, and a house with no cats. So you can have birds or other small animals, but she wants to be your main fur baby and just take up your time. She’s actually a really low maintenance dog, she’s well trained and she just wants to hang out, play with toys, go on walks, and be a really awesome companion. Kylie has other dog, cat, and other small animal friends looking for loving homes as well.”
