30-year-old Fairbanks man dies at Chena Hot Springs Resort Saturday

FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) - A Fairbanks man died at Chena Hot Springs Resort on Saturday evening. According to an Alaska State Trooper dispatch, Troopers received a call Saturday around 7:19 in the evening saying that there was CPR in progress at Chena Hot Springs Resort.

According to staff at the resort, they found 30-year-old Kyle Patsy floating in the pool and began performing CPR on him. The resort said in a statement that they used an automated external defibrillator on Patsy twice in an attempt to revive him while waiting for emergency services to arrive.

According to troopers, Patsy was pronounced deceased at the scene. No foul play is suspected at this time. The body was sent to the State Medical Examiner’s office for an autopsy and troopers are asking anyone who was in the pool area at the time of the incident to contact them at 451-5100.
