Pet of the Week: Alaskan Husky ‘Scarlett’, a Ball of Energy
FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) - A fluffy ball of excitement is looking to bounce into your life!
Here’s what Raeanne Ross, an Animal Control Officer with the Fairbanks North Star Borough Animal Shelter had to say about our Pet of the Week:
“This week’s Pet of the Week is Scarlett. Scarlett is a one year and nine-month-old female Alaskan Husky. She’s tri color but mostly red and white. We’ve seen her a couple times. She came in originally back in February as a stray, then was adopted out, and then came back more recently because she doesn’t do well with small animals. So whatever home gets her needs to be somebody that doesn’t have cats or small animals in the home.
She’s a really happy, energetic, outgoing girl. She needs a bunch of exercise, and somebody that has the time and space to give her the exercise that she needs. She is really excitable; she is really bouncy so if you have small kids in the home, you’re going to want to keep that in consideration too. We don’t want her to get excited and knock little kids over.
She’s a really pretty, really sweet dog. She just needs a home that’s prepared for her. Scarlett has other friends at the shelter that are looking for homes also. We have other dogs, cats, [and] a couple turtles. You can always see our animals available for adoption at petharbor.com or phshelter.com.”
