FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) -HELLO EVERYONE AND WELCOME BACK FOR OUR SATURDAY WEATHER. IT WAS ANOTHER COLD DAY ACROSS THE INTERIOR,

TODAY’S HIGH WAS 4 BELOW AND THE LOW LAST NIGHT WAS A FRIGID 18 BELOW.

THE RECORD HIGH FOR THIS DATE WAS 47 IN 1947, AND THE LOW DROPPED DOWN TO 36 BELOW IN 1963.

THE SUNRISE AND SUNSET EQUALS 5 HOURS AND 36 MINUTES.

ACROSS THE STATE, FAIRBANKS WAS THE COOLEST FOR THE DAY WITH KETCHIKAN CHECKING IN AS THE WARMEST.

ON THE SATELLITE AND RADAR PICTURE, THER EIS QUITE A BIT OF SNOW AND RAIN ACROSS THE SOUTHEAST AND ALSO THE SOUTHWEST, WHILE THE REST OF THE STATE IS CLEAR AND COLD.

IN THE LOWER 48 THE WESTERN HALF OF THE COUNTRY IS MOSTLY CLEAR, BUT A STRONG FRONT IS APPROACHING THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST.

THE NATIONS MID SECTION OVER TO THE OHIO VALLEY IS EXPERIENCING RAIN AND THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY, WHILE THE REST OF THE COUNTRY HAS PLEASANT WEATHER.

AS FAR AS TEMPERATURES, THE NATION IS CUT IN HALF WITH THE NORTHERN AREAS COOL, AND THE SOUTHERN AREAS VERY MILD.

BACK TO ALASKA FOR TOMORROW, THE NORTH SLOPE WILL SEE SUNSHINE, WHILE THE NOME REGION LOOKS FOR SNOW,

OVER THE INTERIOR, CLOUDS AND FLURRIES WILL BE SCATTERED ACROSS THE REGION WITH WINDS DECREASING NEAR DELTA.

THE SOUTHEAST WILL SEE LINGERING SNOW SHOWERS AT JUNEAU, AND RAIN SHOWERS FOR KETCHIKAN.

BETHEL WILL BE CLOUDY TOMORROW, WHILE COLD BAY WILL SEE RAIN AND SNOW, AND KODIAK IS EXPECTING RAIN TO DEVELOP.

THE SOUTHCENTRAL AREAS WILL SEE ANCHORAGE WITH PARTLY CLOUDY SKIES, HOMER WILL BE CLOUDY, VALDEA WILL HAVE SOME SNOW SHOWERS.

LOCALLY TONIGHT WE WILL SEE CLOUDS ON THE INCREASE WITH FLURRIES POSSIBLE AFTER MIDNIGHT, TOMORROW WE CAN EXPECT FLURRIES AND WARMER TEMPERATURES, AND TOMORROW NIGHT SKIRES WILL BEGIN TO CLEAR. THE EXTENDED FORECAST IS FOR SCATTERED CLOUDS AND SOMEWHAT WARMER FOR MONDAY AND TUESDAY, A CHANCE OF SNOW ON WEDNESDAY AND THANKSGIVING DAY, THEN MOSTLY SUNNY INOT THE WEEKEND.
