FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) - On Monday, November 30th, the Alaska Division of Elections officially certified the results of the 2020 general election.

This certification, which occurs when the State Review Board completes their review of the results, comes five days after the state’s initial target date of November 25th.

According to the Alaska Division of Elections, no recount has been requested as of 3 p.m. December 1st. However, the Anchorage Daily News reported that a staffer for Representative Lance Pruitt has indicated the Republican’s intention to request one.

Pruitt, the incumbent for House District 27, came in 13 votes shy of Democratic challenger Liz Snyder. Because of the shallow difference between the totals, the state would fund a recount.
