Fairbanks residents discuss their 2021 New Year’s resolutions
FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) - With 2021 just around the corner, people in the Fairbanks community answered the question, “What are your New Year’s resolutions?”
Paul John said, “My New Year’s resolutions for 2021 would be to probably work out more, eat healthy and spend more time with family...That’s about it right now, just try to keep things simple.”
Gwendoline Brazier told us, “Well, like a lot of folks I’m trying to lose weight and get in shape. This last couple of months was a little hard on getting exercise, so trying to get back on that. And then I’m hoping to do more art.” She went on to say, “It’s been hard not having a lot of options for doing art and being an artist, and so I’m hoping that this year brings a lot more art to our community and being able to do that.”
Joseph Swales said that his resolution is “probably to make sure that my classes go well this year. Having to deal with the school system as it is has made me try to think of all my options.”
Rainy Halvorson explained that she’d like to “Make enough money to maybe buy a house,” adding, “That’s definitely a long-term goal, but as far as a New Year’s resolution, we’ll see in this climate.”
According to Jessica Martinez, “My resolution for 2021 is don’t die. So wear a mask. Don’t die.” She added, “As long as it’s not 2020, I think I’ll do better.”
