Borough transfer sites to be closed intermittently for hard pack snow removal

FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) - The Fairbanks North Star Borough (FNSB) will be intermittently closing transfer sites for hard pack snow removal.

The closings started on Monday, January 4th with the East Farmers Loop transfer site. Transfer sites that will be closed will have either limited or no access to the site.

The projected completion dates for the transfer sites are as a follows: North Pole, Moose Creek, and Salcha are expected to be completed by Wednesday, January 6th, the Badger Road transfer site is expected to be completed on the 7th, the Chena Pump and Ester transfer sites should be done by the 8th, the Fox site is expected to be completed by the 11th, and the Two Rivers site by the 12th.

These dates may change depending on cold weather conditions, site conditions or other factors.
