FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) - The Alaska Native Science and Engineering Program (ANSEP) will be offering free STEM learning online to all middle schools in Alaska this spring.

The science, technology, engineering, and math, also known as STEM lessons, will include a variety of exercises including projects.

Yosty Storms, Senior Director with ANSEP told us, “This opportunity will be hosted over Zoom. We’ll be doing weekly insight and discovery sessions and a total of three projects over the semester. Each session will be 90 minutes. For the insight sessions, students can learn about careers, research opportunities, and skill building from ANSEP staff, students, and partners. It will also include team building which we think is a very important component of what we do at ANSEP.”

Students can register online, and are urged to do so by January 10th.

Storms continued, “Students can register any time at ANSEPMSA.com, and we plan to kick off the first session for STEM Connect in late January. If people have any questions, families have any questions, we encourage them to reach out to us by calling (907) 786-0905 or emailing us at ansep_msa@uaa.alaska.edu.
