Fairbanks resident dies in Seward Highway crash

FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) - According to the Alaska State Troopers, Allen Solomon, 31, of Fairbanks was killed in a vehicle collision on the Seward Highway. According to the post from Troopers, Solomon was traveling north on the highway at a high rate of speed when he struck a Department of Transportation grader that was working to plow the road.

Solomon was declared deceased on the scene. The operator of the grader suffered no injuries. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.

According to Troopers Solomon was not wearing a seat belt and it appeared that alcohol was a contributing factor.
