FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) - HELLO EVERYONE AND WELCOME BACK TO OUR THURSDAY NIGHT WEATHER. TODAY WAS ANOTHER DAY WITH CHILLY TEMPERATURES AND HIGH CLOUDS.

OUR HIGH FOR THE DAY WAS 3 BELOW AND THE OVERNIGHT LOW WAS 13 BELOW.

THE RECORD HIGH WAS 50 DEGREES SET IN 1981, WHILE THE OVERNIGHT LOW WAS ONCE AGAIN IN 1934 WHEN THE THERMOMETER PLUNGED TO 64 BELOW.

THE SUNRISE AND SUNSET EQUALS 5 HOURS AND 12 MINUTES AFTER A GAIN OF 6 MINUTES.

ACROSS THE STATE THE NORTH SLOPE HAD THE COOLEST READINGS, WHILE THE SOUTHEAST HAD THE WARMEST.

THE SATELLITE AND RADAR SHOWED ANOTHER HUGE STORM IN THE GULF OF ALASKA SENDING MORE RAIN AND SNOW TOWARD THE SOUTHEAST REGION AND ALSO THE NORTH GULF COAST.

AGAIN THE INTERIOR WAS BASICALLY CLOUD FREE.

IN THE LOWER 48 THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST WAS FINALLY CLEARING UP WHILE THE MAIN FOCUS OF RAIN AND SNOW WAS ACROSS THE MIDWEST.

THE TEMPERATURES FOR THE MOST PART WERE RATHER COOL EXCEPT FOR THE WEST COAST.

BACK IN ALASKA TOMORROW BLOWING SNOW WILL BE THE RULE FOR THE NORTH SLOPE, WHILE NOME WILL SEE SUNNY SKIES.

THE INTERIOR WILL AGAIN HAVE MOSTLY SUNNY CONDITIONS BUT WINDS WILL BE GUSTY AT HIGHER ELEVATIONS.

OVER THE SOUTHEAST RAIN SHOWERS WILL BE SCATTERED FROM JUNEAU DOWN TO KETCHIKAN.

BETHEL WILL SEE ISOLATED RAIN SHOWERS, WHILE COLD BAY WILL HAVE SNOW SHOWERS AND KODIAK WILL HAVE CLOUDY SKIES.

OVER THE SOUTH CENTRAL REGION THERE WILL BE A CHANCE OF SNOW IN ANCHORAGE, WHILE HOMER WILL HAVE MIXED RAIN AND SNOW SHOWERS AND VALDEZ WILL SEE MORE SNOW.

LOCALLY TONIGHT WE WILL SEE INCREASING CLOUDS WITH TEMPERATURES WARMING INTO THE MORNING HOURS. TOMORROW WILL SEE A 40 PER CENT CHANCE OF A LITTLE SNOW, THEN CLOUDY SKIES TOMORROW NIGHT.

THE EXTENDED FORECAST IS FOR CONTINUED ABOVE NORMAL TEMPERATURES THROUGH ALL OF NEXT WEEK WITH A SLIGHT CHANCE FOR SOME SNOW EARLY IN THE PERIOD.
