FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) - Republican U.S. Senators Dan Sullivan and Lisa Murkowski joined 24 other senators in submitting a letter to President Biden requesting a meeting as soon as possible to discuss his actions toward resource development.

Decrying the president’s orders halting leasing in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge and revoking the permit for the Keystone XL Pipeline, the letter stated “Your actions will have grave consequences for our constituents, and taking these actions on your very first week as President with no input from those of us who represent these hard working Americans is counter to the desires of the American people who want practical, bipartisan solutions to our nation’s challenges, and who want policies that support working families.”

According to the senators, the president’s actions run counter to his stated goal of creating good-paying jobs.

The letter was dated January 28th, and can be found in its entirety here.
