FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) - The Fairbanks Arts Association is inviting Fairbanks North Star Borough School District affiliated students in grades K through 12 to submit their art to the student art exhibition “Up With Art (Reimagined).”

This exhibition is free to enter, and each student may enter one piece of original art made at home or in school within the past year. Art submissions will be put on display in the Bear Gallery at Pioneer Park for the month of March. This exhibition is a partnership between Fairbanks Arts and the Fairbanks North Star Borough School District Art Center.

According to Teal Francis, Fairbanks Arts Association Programs and Communications Coordinator, students are encouraged to work in any medium, and art submissions can be of any subject matter. “We are offering prizes in 5 different categories. The art can be about any subject matter but the categories that we are awarding prizes for are: Imagination, Stories, Connection, Environment, and Health. We’ll have community judges that will be awarding the prizes.”

Parents, guardians or teachers must register online by Friday, February 26 at 12 p.m. to guarantee submissions are entered. Complete entry guidelines and the online registration form can be found at the Fairbanks Arts Association website here.
