Fairbanks man arrested for allegedly sending and receiving child pornography
FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) - A Fairbanks man has been arrested and indicted on charges of receipt and distribution of child pornography following an FBI investigation.
According to a press release from the U.S. Attorney District of Alaska, Jason Patzke, 47, was arrested on Feb. 22 and arraigned on Federal Charges Wednesday.
The press release says that that the FBI’s Child Exploitation Task Force conducted the investigation which led to the arrest. Patzke allegedly received and distributed the illegal content in June of 2018.
According to Court View, Patzke has previously been convicted of sexual abuse of a minor and first degree indecent exposure involving minors.
Patzke could face up to 40 years in prison for the charges if he is found guilty.
