FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) - An altercation at the Hookah Lounge in Fairbanks left one man with a gunshot wound to the head. After investigating the incident, two Fairbanks men were charged with attempted murder in the first degree. Jerrico Jujuan Turner and Kharron Nathien Green, 27 and 23 respectively were arrested a short time later on College Road.

Around 3:00 a.m. Sunday, an Alaska State Trooper in the parking lot of the Hookah Lounge heard gunshots. AST and Fairbanks Police responded and found spent casings, and a male in the stairwell with a gunshot wound to the head.

Law enforcement located Turner and Green on College Road a short distance away.

According to charging documents, Green and Turner allegedly were involved in a fight at the lounge and fired their guns down the stairwell, striking the victim in the head. Turner said that he and Green had been jumped, and that they fired in self defense.

Charging documents say that the victim appeared to be trying to leave the Lounge due to gunfire.

Law enforcement obtained video surveillance of the incident. The video shows the two men being pushed up the stairwell before people scattered from the bottom of the stairwell. A short time later the victim ran up the stairs, according to witnesses he was trying to leave because of the gunfire.
