FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) - WELCOME TO YOUR WEDNESDAY WEATHER.

IT WAS ANOTHER BEAUTIFUL DAY ACROSS THE INTERIOR TODAY. THE HIHG TEMPERATURES WAS 18, AND THE OVERNIGHT LOW DROPPED DOWN TO 21 BELOW .

THE RECORD HIGH WAS 55 IN 1990 AND THE OVERNIGHT RECORD LOW WAS SET IN 1949.

THE SUNRISE AND SUNSET EQUALS 14 HOURS AND 21 MINUTES AFTER A GAIN OF 7 MINUTES.

TONIGHT’S WEATHER PHOTO IS SCENE FROM THIS PAST WEEKEND’S SNOW STORM.

ACROSS THE STATE, COLD BAY HAD THE HIGHEST TEMPERATURS WHILE THE COLDEST AIR WAS ALONG THE NORTH SLOPE.

THE SATELLITE AND RADAR SHOWS A LARGE AREA OF SNOW MOVING RAPIDLY FROM WEAT TO EAST ACROSS THE SOUTHWEST PART OF THE STATE.

THE INTERIOR IS CLOUD FREE.

IN THE LOWER 48, AN AREA OF LOW PRESSURE IN KANSAS IS SETTING OFF SEVERE WEATHER ACROSS ARKANSAS, LOUSIANA, MISSOURI, AND PARTS OF MISSISSIPPI.

TEMPERATURES AREALITTLE COOLER OVER THE WESTERN HALF OF THE COUNTRY WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE DESERT SOUTHWEST.

ALASKA’S OUTLOOK FOR TOMORROW IS FOR CLOUDY SKIES ALONG THE NORTH SLOPE, WITH SUNSHINE FOR NOME.

THE INTERIOR WILL BE CLOUDY WITH AREAS OF LIGHT SNOW AND COLD TEMPERARTURES CONTINUING.

OVER THE SOUTHEAST RAIN WILL FALL AT JUNEAU, WITH HEAVIER RAIN EXPECTED IN KETCHIKAN.

THE SOUTHWEST WILL SEE BLOWING SNOW AT BETHEL, SUNSHINE WILL COVER COLD BAY, AND ALSO KODIAK.

THE SOUTHCENTRAL REGION WILL SEE PERIODS OF SNOW FOR ANCHORAGE AND VALDEZ, WITH A CHANCE OF SNOW AT HOMER.

LOCALLY TONIGHT CLOUDS WILL INCREASE LATER WITH A LITTLE LIGHT SNOW DEVELOPING BY MORNING.ANY SNOW FALL TOMORROW WILL BE VERY LIGHT WITH LESS THAN AN INCH EXPECTED.

TOMORROW NIGHT SNOW WIL END WITH COLDER AIR RETURNING.

THE EXTENDED FORECAST IS FOR COLDER FRIDAY NIGHT BUT A RAPID RECOVERY LEADING TO MUCH WARMER AIR RETURNING BY THE FIRST OF NEXT WEEK AND CONTINUING TO CLIMB TOWARD THE 40 DEGREE MARK WITH SCATERED CLOUDS FOR THE SEVEN DAY PERIOD.
