FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) - WELCOME BACK TO OUR WEATHER FOR A FRIDAY NIGHT. IT WAS ANOTHER GREAT DAY ACROSS THE INTERIOR TODAY ALTHOUGH A LITTLE COOLER WITH A HIGH OF ONLY 45 AND AN OVERNIGHT LOW OF 19.

THE RECORD HIGH FOR THIS DATE WAS 60 IN 1996, AND THE OVERNIGHT RECORD LOW WAS 16 BELOW IN 1963.

THE SUNRISE AND SUNSET EQUALS 15 HOURS AND 22 MINUTES AFTER A GAIN OF 7 MINUTES.

TONIGHT’S PHOTO IS OF MY CATS LOOKING OUT THE WINDOW AT EITHER SPRING’S ARRIVAL OR BIRDS. MY BET IS ON THE BIRDS.

ACROSS THE STATE KETCHIKAN CHECKED IN WITH 60 DEGREES FOR THE HIGH, WHILE THE COOLEST AIR IS ALONG THE NORTH SLOPE.

THE SATELLITE AND RADAR SHOWS VERY LITTLE ACTIVITY ACROSS THE STATE , WITH JUST A FEW SHOWERS ALONG THE WESTERN SECTIONS.

IN THE LOWER 48 SOME SNOW SHOWER ACTIVITY IS INDICATED OVER THE ROCKIES. ELSEWHERE, MORE STORMS ARE ROLLING ACROSS TEXAS AND LOUISIANA AND ALSO OVER PARTS OF THE NORTHEAST.

TEMPERATURES ARE QUITE COOL FROM THE NORTHEAST TO THE ROCKIES, SEATTLE IS COOKING WITH A READING NEAR 80 DEGREES.

ALASKA’S OUTLOOK FOR TOMORROW IS FOR MUCH WARMER TEMPERATURES ALONG THE NORTH SLOPE, SKIES WILL ALSO BE MOSTLY SUNNY IN NOME.

THE INTERIOR WILL ENJOY ANOTHER DAY OF SUNSHINE AND TEMPERATURES ABOVE NORMAL.

SUNNY SKIES ARE ALSO EXPECTED OVER ALL OF THE SOUTHEAST.

BETHEL WILL SEE SUNNY SKIES, WHILE ISOLATED RAIN AND SNOW SHOWERS CAN BE EXPECTED IN COLD BAY.

KODIAK WILL BE CLOUDY.

SUNSHINE WILL COVER ALL OF THE SOUTHCENTRAL REGION.

LOCALLY TONIGHT WE WILL SEE MOSTLY CLEAR SKIES AND MAYBE EVEN SOME AURORAS. TOMORROW WILL BE SUNNY AND WARMER, WITH CLEAR SKIES CONTINUING INTO THE EVENING. THE EXTENDED FORECAST IS FOR MOSTLY SUNNY SKIES SUNDAY THROUGH NEXT WEEK WITH TEMPERATURES EACH DAY AROUND 60 AND OVERNIGHT LOWS NEAR 30.
