FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) - WELCOME TO OUR TUESDAY NIGHT WEATHER, TODAY EVEN THOUGH IT WAS SUNNY THE TEMPERATURES WERE A LITTLE COOLER AS THE HIGH FOR THE DAY WAS ONLY 45 AND THE LOW LAST NIGHT WAS 29.

THE RECORD HIGH WAS 66 IN 1940, AND THE RECORD LOW DROPPED TO 20 BELOW IN 1924.

THE SUNRISE AND SUNSET EQUALS 15 HOURS AND 49 MINUTES.

TONIGHT’S PHOTO IS A BEAUTIFUL SHOT OF AURORAS THAT WERE OBSERVED THIS WEEKEND.

ACROSS THE STATE, KETCHIKAN IS THE WARMEST WITH 62, WHILE THE NORTH SLOPE CHECKS IN WITH 20 DEGREES.

THE SATELLITE AND RADAR DOES NOT INDICATE ANY MAJOR WEATHER SYSTEMS AFFECTING ALASKA.

IN THE LOWER 48 THERE ARE A FEW RAIN SHOWERS OVER THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST, WHILE SNOW IS FAILING ALONG A LINE FROM MISSOURI TO THE NORTHEAST OVER THE GREAT LAKES.

SOME SHOWERS ARE REPORTED OVER PARTS OF FLORIDA ALSO.

TEMPERATURES HAVE COOLED DOWN FROM THE NORTHERN STATES SOUTHWARD TO NEAR TEXAS, OTHERWISE THE REST OF THE COUNTRY IS VERY MILD.

BACK IN ALASKA TOMORROW, SUNSHINE WILL BE THE RULE FOR ALL OF ALASKA AS HIGH PRESSURE KEEPS ALL STORMS AWAY TO THE SOUTH.

TONIGHT LOCALLY, WE WILL SEE CLEAR SKIES AND COOL TEMPERATURES. TOMORROW SUNSHINE WILL BE WIDESPREAD WITH TEMPERATURES SLOWLY WARMING. TOMORROW NIGHT WILL BE CLEAR. THE EXTENDED FORECAST IS FOR WARMER WEATHER AND PLENTY OF SUNNY DAYS.
