Fairbanks Arby’s to open in June
FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) - After decades of absence, Arby’s is returning to Fairbanks.
The franchise, known for its roast beef and curly fries, is currently under construction on University Avenue, where Carl’s Jr. once stood.
Construction has begun, and the restaurant is expected to open in mid to late June.
The location is looking to bring between 60 and 70 new jobs to Fairbanks.
The restaurant’s conversion involves planning the building’s layout and remodeling the interior.
Diversified Restaurant Group’s Senior Director of Operations Jason Dunn said the Fairbanks Arby’s will have a new look and feel, including new menu items.
“The unique challenge of Alaska is getting certain products and equipment from down south all the way up there - so logistically, it’s been a new and unique experience for us. But we’ve got some great vendor partners that helped us facilitate that to make sure we can hit our opening date,” Dunn said.
Applications for multiple positions are available online.
