FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) - North Pole freshman James Aleshire stopped every shot sent his way in Monday’s 6-0 Mid Alaska Conference victory over Eielson - his first career shutout.

Offensively, the Patriots saw goals off of a variety of feet, sparked by sophomore Gabe Hollett at about the 20-minute mark. Senior Captain Riley Walters found the back of the net before halftime, as Eielson’s co-ed program was hanging tough down 2-0 at the break.

Patriots freshman Kellen Terch opened the scoring in the second half off a pass from Walters. It was just a matter of time before one of the team’s leading scorers got involved, with Oscar Queen putting home the header off of a cross from Blayne Jusczak to make it 4-0. Walters continued his offensive production with another goal not long after, before Luis Rodriguez closed out the game with North Pole’s sixth goal of the evening. The two squads will square-off again Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. for another conference bout.
