FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) - If you’re ready to channel your inner Viking and go on an adventure, there’s “Nor”-way you can go without Aethelwulf. She’s a sweet husky with a lot of energy, looking to be someone’s loyal companion.

Britley Calkins, an animal handler with the Fairbanks North Star Borough Animal Shelter, described Aethelwulf, saying, “Aethelwulf is a one-year old neutered male Siberian Husky. He was surrendered to the shelter because his previous home just didn’t have enough time for him.”

She added, “Aethelwulf is said to be a very sweet boy, he supposed to know all the basic commands, he is kennel trained, house broken, but in true Siberian Husky fashion, he does have a lot of energy. Aethelwulf is looking for a very active home to take him on plenty of adventures. Aethelwulf is said to do good with all people, starting from babies, children, to strangers. Aethelwulf is said to be very playful around dogs, however we don’t know how he does with cats, pocket pets, or livestock, so if you do have any of those small critters around, please take caution when choosing to introduce him to other animals.”

“Aethelwulf is a sweet happy boy here at the shelter, he’s looking for a new forever home, and if you think he’s the one for you, please give the shelter a call. We also have plenty of other dogs, cats, and bunnies looking for their forever homes,” Calkins said.
