FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) -

WELCOME BACK TO OUR FRIDAY WEATHER. TODAY TURNED OUT VERY NICE WITH A HIGH TEMPERATURE OF 73, AFTER AN OVERNIGHT LOW OF 59.

THE RECORD HIGH FOR THIS DATE WAS 90 IN 1977, AND THE OVERNIGHT RECORD LOW OF 32 , WAS SET IN 1929.

THE SUNRISE AND SUNSET EQUALS 18 HOURS AND 21 MINUTES AFTER A 7 MINUTE LOSS.

TONIHGTS WEATHER PHOTO IS OF A YOUNG BULL MOOSE WITH HIS OUTDOOR TOY.

ACROSS THE STATE, FAIRBANKS WAS THE WARMEST, WHILE THE NORTH SLOPE WAS THE COOLEST.

THE SATELLITE AND RADAR SHOWS A LARGE AREA OF RAIN MOVING IN ON THE WEST COAST, WITH SUNSHINE ELSEWHERE.

IN THE LOWER 48, WIDESPREAD SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ARE ACROSS THE DESERT SOUTHWEST AND PARTS OF CALIFORNIA AND OREGON. ELSEWHERE, STORMS ARE SCATTERED ACROSS A LARGE PART OF THE COUNTRY ALONG WITH VERY WARM TEMPERATURES.

ALASKA’S OUTLOOK FOR TOMORROW IS FOR, RAIN ALONG THE NORTH SLOPE AND THE NOME AREA. THE INTERIOE WILL SEE A LOT OF SUNSHINE AND MUCH WARMER WEATHER.

JUNEAU AND KETCHIKAN WILL ALSO SEE PLENTY OF SUN.

BETHEL AND COLD BAY CAN LOOK FOR RAIN, WHILE KODIAK HAS CLOUDY SKIES.

ANCHORAGE AND VALDEZ WILL BE MOSTLY SUNNY, WHILE HOMER HAS MORE CLOUDS.

LOCALLY TONIGHT WE WILL SEE A RATHER PLEASANT EVENING, TOMORROW WILL BE MOSTLY SUNNY AND WARMER INOT THE EVENING. SUNDAY WILL BE MOSTLY SUNNY BUT NNOT AS WARM. THE EXTENDED FORECAST IS FOR SUNNY SKIES AND WARMER TEMPERATURES THROUGH MOST OF NEXT WEEK.
