FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) - It’s time to meet a fun pup who has enough energy to play all day.

Kimbo is a loveable young dog looking for an active forever home to call his home. Here’s what Britley Calkins, an animal handler with Fairbanks North Star Borough Animal Shelter, had to say:

“Hi I’m Britley, and today I’d like to introduce you all to Kimbo. Kimbo is a one-year-old Alaskan Husky Pitbull mix, who was surrendered to the shelter because he actually attacked the other dog in the home. Because of that we are requiring that he goes to a home without any other dogs.

His owners said that he’s kind of in his teenage phase, where he’s testing boundaries right now. He’s said to have known quite a few basic commands, however because of his acting out, I definitely recommend bringing him to a basic obedience class and sharpening those tools that he already knows.

He’s said to do well with cats, well with babies, and well with children. He’s got a lot of energy and he’s looking for a very active home that can keep him both mentally and physically stimulated and keep him out of trouble.

Kimbo has been really sweet with his animals tenders here at the shelter. He’s a young dog looking for his forever home. If you’re interested in meeting Kimbo or any of the other dogs, cats, chickens, or rabbits we have here please give us a call.”
