Pet of the Week: Randy the curious kitty
FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) - This cat loves to explore new spaces, and what better places to explore than his new forever home.
Here’s what Britley Calkins, an animal handler with Fairbanks North Star Borough Animal Shelter, had to say:
“Randy is about a year and nine months old, and he is a neutered male kitty here at the shelter looking for his new forever home.
Randy does have a few special requirements. Randy has a lower urinary tract infection requiring him to be on canned food for life, which isn’t a big deal for cat owners. A lot of them feed canned food.
He also needs a quiet home, a low stress home, so we are requiring that he goes to a home without dogs. Randy is said to do well with children and with other cats.
Randy is a super sweet kitty here at the shelter, he’s been hanging out with us since July, so he’s really hoping to find his new forever home.
He uses his litterbox here consistently, he’s a very sweet outgoing kitty.
If you are interested in meeting Randy, or any of our other cats, dogs, bunny [or] turtle friends here at the shelter, please give us a call!”
