Pet of the Week: Midnight the adorable Lionhead Silver Fox mix bunny

FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) - Midnight is a bunny that is as adorable as she is fluffy, and she is very fluffy.

Here’s what Britley Calkins, an animal handler with Fairbanks North Star Borough Animal Shelter, had to say:

“Midnight is a spayed three-year-old bunny. She is a Lionhead Silver Fox mix that is looking for her new forever home.

Unfortunately, her previous owner didn’t fill out much on her paperwork, so we don’t have that much prior history on her. Here at the shelter, she has been an absolute sweetheart.

As bunnies can be, she is litter box trained and uses it fantastically. She drinks out of a water bottle. If you’re not familiar with bunnies, they should always have access to Timothy hay for their teeth and GI health. They should have a measured amount of pellet food as well as fresh greens on a daily basis, Midnight definitely enjoys her extra snacks. There’s also plenty of enrichment you can do with bunnies, and it can be a fun activity for you and the kids.
