FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) - Daylight Saving Time is upon us and it’s time to fall back this evening by setting your clocks back one hour at 2:00 a.m. Like most of us, we change our clocks before going to bed and enjoy the extra hour of sleep. If you are one of the better late than never crew you will need to change them on Sunday. While you are taking care of your clocks be sure to also change out the batteries in your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.

Daylight Saving Time was originally used to conserve energy and make better use of daylight. The United States Federal Government officially established Daylight Saving Time in 1966. All but two of the fifty states observe the spring ahead, fall back concept, which are Arizona and Hawaii. A little Daylight Saving Time trivia before calling it a night.
