Borough to run series of webinars about issues facing the local economy
FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) - Starting on December 1, the Fairbanks North Star Borough is running a series of three webinars to inform residents about various topics affecting the community.
The public sessions will be held on the 1st, 8th and 15th of December.
Topics covered will include demographic trends in the borough, the current labor shortage, what we learned from the 2020 U.S. Census, and issues facing the economy such as inflation and supply-chain.
Speakers will include State of Alaska officials and a panelist from the U.S. Census Bureau.
Stephanie Pearson, Community Research Technician with the borough said, “These sessions will help people understand the health of our local economy through socioeconomic data and demographics. Different indicators can provide a picture of our local economy, and right now there is a lot of interest in what our economy health is.”
Those interested in attending can visit the borough’s Facebook Page or by registering on the borough’s website.
