FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) - Here’s a pup that’s just itching to go on a run with her new family.
Piper Anne is a happy dog looking for her new forever home. Here’s what Britley Calkins, an animal handler with Fairbanks North Star Borough Animal Shelter, had to say:
“Piper Anne is a German Shepherd mix, she is a year and 3 months old, and she has been looking for her forever home for a little while now.
She is a sweet, sweet girl. She’s a young dog with a lot of energy however, and she’s looking for an owner that’s going to understand her and continue on with her training. We are requiring that Piper Anne goes to a home without children under five, purely because she’s a big goof and we don’t want her knocking over any of those little kiddos. We’re also requiring that she goes to a house without cats, because she’s proven to like to chase them in her previous home and that’s just not nice for our kitty friends.
Piper Anne did come in with another dog and seems to be friendly with her canine friends. But please remember to do slow, safe, and controlled introductions if choosing to introduce her to other dogs.
Piper Anne is housebroken and she does excellent here at the shelter at keeping her kennel clean. She is looking for that active home that can continue to help her grow into the sweetest girl possible.
If you are interested in meeting Mrs. Piper or any of the other dogs, cats, bunnies here at the shelter, please give us a call!”
