Biden Administration leverages millions of dollars for high-speed internet on Tribal Lands

FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) - Tribal Nations around the U.S., including in Alaska, are set to receive nearly $10 million in funding to expand access to reliable, high-speed internet services.
The Biden Administration announced the funding on Wednesday, December 22. It will come in the form of awards from the Departments of Commerce, Treasury and Agriculture.
Port Lions on Kodiak Island and Rampart Village will be among the recipients of funding through the USDA’s Community Connect Program.
According to the White House, the administration is “committed to strengthening the resilience and prosperity of Tribal Nations.”
