FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) - Guiseppe is a an affectionate little bunny with a big appetite, looking for a loving forever home.

Here’s what Britley Calkins, an animal handler with Fairbanks North Star Borough Animal Shelter, had to say:

“Guiseppe is a 3-year-old neutered male bunny here at the shelter, available for adoption.

This boy has been super sweet with his animal tenders. He was well handled prior to being surrendered, so he’s definitely used to interacting with people. Guiseppe was raised with two other bunnies, however we did find that after he was neutered and introducing him back to his buddies, he was a little territorial. So he may need to be housed separately from any other bunnies or small critters.

Guiseppe is partially litter box trained, he’s done pretty good about using his litter box here at the shelter, but could use a little more improvement on that. If you’re not familiar with bunnies, he should have an unlimited amount of timothy hay, and he should have a measured amount of pellet food as well as fresh greens on a daily basis. This guy definitely has a healthy appetite and he is eager to greet you every morning for his daily greens.

If you are interested in meeting Guiseppe and you feel that you are prepared to take on a bunny, please give the shelter a call. We have plenty of rabbits available for adoption. We also have dogs, cats, and a few other small critters.”
