FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) - Vicky Persinger and Chris Plys kick off the 2022 Winter Olympics competitions Wednesday morning, February 2, at 3 a.m. in Beijing, China.

Team USA starts with the Mixed Doubles Curling Team, representing Vicky Persinger and Chris Plys. Team USA will first play against Australia. Later in the day Team USA will play Italy and follow with Norway.

In order to get all events completed, some of the competitions need to start ahead of the official Opening Ceremony date, which is Friday, February 4.

The Women’s Prelims Hockey games, China vs. Czech Republic and Switzerland vs. Canada, are also scheduled to play on Wednesday.
