FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) - This handsome boy has a big heart and a personality to boot!

Zeke is a husky boxer mix who needs a good home to let his spirit run free.

Here’s what Britley Calkins, an animal handler with Fairbanks North Star Borough Animal Shelter, had to say:

“Zeke is an Alaskan Husky Boxer mix who is just under a year and a half.

Zeke was surrendered with his brother Toby. They were having issues in the home with the other dogs when food was involved. We are recommending that owners keep Zeke separate from other animals in the house when food is around. He is kennel trained and that can be a great tool for feeding time.

Zeke has been super friendly here at the animal shelter, has a very outgoing personality. Zeke was also said to do well with cats in their home. We do not know how he does with pocket pets or livestock so if you do have those critters around just, please take caution.

Zeke was said to be friendly with children. He has been excellent at walking on a leash. He is a real free spirit though.

Zeke has kept his kennel clean here at the shelter. His previous owners didn’t indicate if he was fully housebroken, but so far no accidents inside.

If you are interested in meeting Mr. Zeke, please give the shelter a call. We have tons of fabulous dogs, cats, and pocket pets available for adoption!”
