Pet of the Week: Suki the friendly Alaskan Husky
FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) - Here’s a pup that is full of love and looking to share it with a new forever home. Suki is a happy little husky who is sure to bring joy to her new family.
Here’s what Britley Calkins, an animal handler with Fairbanks North Star Borough Animal Shelter, had to say:
“Hi, I’m Britley, and today I’m going to introduce you all to Suki. Suki is a four-year-old Alaskan Husky who came to the shelter initially as a stray, so we really don’t know that much about her.
Suki was found camping out in somebody’s doghouse and seemed to get along with the dogs in the yard. She does enjoy barking at the dogs near her in the shelter.
If you do have other critters around, please make sure to do slow, safe, and controlled introductions. Being that she is an Alaskan Husky, she may have a higher prey drive. Here at the shelter, Suki has done wonderful at keeping her kennel clean. She is eager to go on walks and love a new adventure buddy. If you are interested in meeting Ms. Suki, please give the shelter a call. We have plenty of other dogs, cats, and pocket pets available for adoption.”
