FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) - We see Jane. We see Jane run. We see that Jane is an energetic sweet girl who could use a few lessons in being a good house pup.

Here’s what Britley Calkins, an animal handler with Fairbanks North Star Borough Animal Shelter, had to say:

“Jane is a seven month old Alaskan Husky mix, who came to the shelter as a stray with many of her siblings and she is the last one looking for her forever home.

Jane is a super sweet, super energetic gal. She does not appear fully housebroken. So she is looking for an owner that can work with her on potty training, basic commands, and just the ins and outs of being a good girl.

Because she was a stray we don’t know how she does with other animals such as dogs, cats, pocket pets, or livestock. She has been super friendly, very loose body language towards her doggy neighbors. She is an Alaskan husky and they tend to have that higher prey drive. So if you do have those smaller critters around, just please keep that in mind.

Here at the shelter Jane has been proven to love to talk to her animal tenders. She loves hearing her own voice and she just loves attention.

If you are interested in meeting a little Miss Jane please give the shelter call. We have plenty of other dogs, cats, or pocket pets available for adoption.”
