FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) - Here’s a pup that has nearly boundless energy despite his age.

Connor is a happy, loving husky who is looking for an active family to call his own. Here’s what Britley Calkins, an animal handler with Fairbanks North Star Borough Animal Shelter, had to say:

“Connor is a 7-year-old Siberian Husky who came to the shelter with quite a few other dogs. We don’t know much about their history other than the fact that they were outside dogs. So Connor is not used to living indoors. He has spent his entire life outdoors. If you plan to transition him, he will need help in potty training, basic commands, and just the ins and outs of being an inside dog.

If you’re not familiar with Siberian Huskies, we do encourage you to do some research prior to inquiring about him. This boy is 7 but he has a lot of energy, and you would never guess that he was his age.

Connor has been extremely friendly towards his animal tenders. He loves attention, he wants to run and just go go go. We do not know how he does with other animals. Siberian Huskies do tend to have that higher prey drive. So, if you have those smaller critters around, please keep that in mind that he might not be the best fit for you.

If you are interested in meeting Connor or any of the other dogs, cats, or pocket pets we have here at the shelter please give us a call.”
