Joshua Butcher indicted for First Degree Murder in November shooting at Fairbanks Safeway

FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) - A Fairbanks grand jury indicted Joshua Butcher last week for Murder in the First Degree for a shooting at a Fairbanks Safeway that occurred November 7 of 2021.

The shooting claimed the life of Harley Titus and injured a second person.

Butcher is also under indictment for one count of Assault in the First Degree and six counts of Assault in the Third Degree.

According to a press release from the Alaska Department of Law, Butcher is being held on $10 million bail with the Department of Corrections.

The defendant’s arraignment is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, March 16 at 1:30 p.m. at the Rabinowitz Courthouse in Fairbanks.
