FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) - A Delta Junction man was sentenced to 32 months in prison and a $5,000 fine for threatening the lives of Senators Lisa Murkowski and Dan Sullivan.
Court documents say 65-year-old Jay Allen Johnson left 17 voicemails for the senators over five months.
He was arrested in October 2021 and pled guilty in January 2022.
After his arrest, seven unsecured firearms were found at Johnson’s place of residence. Due to a prior felony conviction, possession of these firearms was also illegal.
