FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) - Jake Foshee who graduated from West Valley High School has been offered a chance to play pro football in the Canadian Football League.

Graduating from West Valley in 2017, Foshee was offered only one opportunity to play ball in college. This chance came from Oklahoma Baptist University and Foshee was perfectly fine taking the offer as it would allow to continue to chase his dream of becoming a professional football player. According to Dave Foshee, Jake’s father, this dream was developed after the family moved to Fairbanks and Jake began to play youth football. Foshee’s father remembers Jake telling him after one of his first youth football practices, “Dad I want to play pro football.” Since then, Foshee’s focus has been set on the game and his family couldn’t be more excited for him now that his chance to play for a pro team has come his way.

With his days as a Bison behind him, Foshee hada lot of feelings about his dreams coming true. First and foremost, he looks forward to the excitement of living in a big city now that he will call Toronto, Ontario his home. Fairbanks was the biggest community Foshee had experienced so far but it is not without many memories and meaningful development.

Knowing his journey is not finished, Foshee feels confident that he has what it takes to prove himself among the elite in football and he hopes to get some game time in his first year.
